The Latest on Nitro Type

Racing with friends, car painting, new tracks, Nitro animations, any many little improvements all over the place.
The test site has been closed, and all features have been put into the regular version of Nitro Type. Thanks everyone for your help in testing!
Note: While on the test site, you will only race other people who are also using the test site.
Extra Money & Experience
As a reward for helping us test, every race on the test site will get you an extra 20% cash and experience! You will keep all rewards earned on the test site.
Racing With Friends
We have completely redone the friends-racing feature (previously known as Private Race). Now, when you start a race with friends, you will still earn money, experience, nitros, etc. Bots and other racers will automatically join once the race starts. NOTE: The race chat has been removed for the time being. We will add it back in the future.
Car Painting
Finally here! Paint those cars in crazy colors! The more expensive the car, the more expensive the paint job. Enjoy! And for now, only users of the test site will see your new fancy car.
New Tracks
We have created 3 new race tracks to keep things fresh. If you enjoy this, we will create lots more, including special tracks for holidays and other events.
Nitro Animations
You can now see when you and others use nitros. Sweet!
HELP US!
We made TONS of changes to our code, so as always, tons of new bugs could be introduced. If you run into any strange problems, please let us know via the Contact Form. Be as detailed as possible about what happened, and what steps we can take to see the problem.

@ThePheonix Yup, you get paid extra for racing on this new version. It might have more bugs (it might not!) but you get extra for helping out look for bugs. All you really have to do is play as normal, race, buy stuff, paint your car, whatever, and give feedback.

@YellowAssassin Please describe exactly what you mean about losing the money and nitros. Did money and nitros go to exactly zero? How did you find out that you lost it? And exactly how did this happen? The more information you can give me the more likely I am to find any bugs.
Also, I looked into your account and the number of nitros you currently have is equal to the number you should have based on your wins and nitro purchases.
It's VERY important that you are reporting an honest bug and not attempting to trick the Admins into giving you free nitros and money.

When you race it sometimes disquallifies you when you start the race. It also makes you use all three nitros when you use the nitros button once so you should probably fix those problems.LOVE NITRO TYPE.

there are a few bugs i experienced and there a bit anoying...
1.the game will begin to lag and the whole screen would go blank and it would be anoying
2.while playing the game i'll be in the middle of typing (racing) and it will stop my car and a screen will pop up saying you've been disqualified due to inactivity and it anoys me and it happens reguraly!
please fix these mostly the 2nd it cost me precious exp and money!

Extreme amount of bugs, I will be in first place and it will still say i lost, and then say i am disqualified, thus i don't earn ANY EXP. That means no more leveling, no cash, that basically ruins the fun of the game. I tried the version without the new features, still got disqualified.

The car painting addition is good but it can be better. Maybe instead of moving the scroll bar to the color you can find, there should be a list of colors or a format that lets you automatically choose a color. Its much easier.

Many more Communication errors. Something new also, when ever I start a race and the light turns to green everything freezes and nothing moves. I finish typing the paragraph but everything stopped and then the white flash that shows I made it to the finish line. This is important because I like to see whats happening incase someone is passed me so I can use a nitro.

I found a problem, now maybe this was an intentional thing, but I think it would be good to be able to change it. When me and my friend were private racing, I pressed Start Race, and before the race started, the computer added 3 other people to my private race. The people, I thought were NitroType Bots, but they were real people. I bet that they thought that it was a little odd that they were just inserted to a random private race. I think that the old NitroType private race was better, I think that if you could change it back, you should. I will play even more often if the private race goes back to how it was. CHANGE IT BACK!!! (Please!) ;)

found a bug or my computer is acting up in private race sometimes the racers that i invited via talking to them in real life wont appear on the track but they can still chat to me and i cant start the race quote you need more then one player to race when i know there are 4 in the race via chat

@DaChicagoBears Private racing has been removed. In it's place is just a "race with friends" system. Once your friends have queued up, it becomes a public race. Other people will randomly join, but they will have no idea that you guys are friends. This also means that you now earn rewards, because you are racing real people.
@chaos80 What you are describing is from the regular site. Please only leave bug reports for the new http://test.nitrotype.com test site.
@LupusArbiter Has this improved? I did fix a bug that might have caused that. At this point it should be a bit better.

Just a little something that I found is that sometimes it doesn't give you cash at the end of a race and when I put my cursor over myself, and it said that I typed an average of 0 words per minute, when I actually type an average speed of 58 words per minute. In my garage it says that I type an average of 58 words per minute however.

@ThePheonix Not seeing the words until the race begins is not actually a bug, and it's how things will be going forward. It is not fair that racers who join a race first have an advantage over later racers, so now everyone sees it for the same amount of time.

@19ppeeling To refer a friend, go in your Garage and send your friends the little link you see under the big square ad. Have your friends sign up using that link, and race at least 5 times. I know it's not too clear. We will make it easier in the future!

oh and yet ANOTHER glitch is i crossed the finish line, and i was 1st, so then all of a sudden, my car dissapeared. A few moments later my car reappered, just crosing the finish line.It kept doing that while lowering my WPM. Also, when other people crossed the finish line, my car went from first, to second, to third, etc.

@ThePheonix Thanks for the detailed error reports. I'll try to figure out how those things could happen. There are still a few sneaky bugs I have to track down it looks like, however things should be getting a lot more stable... Less communication error popups at least.
And as far as the car painting price, it is currently 15% of whatever the car price is. So expensive cars get expensive paint jobs. I'll consider lowering it but probably not too soon. Car paint jobs on fancy cars should be pretty exclusive. Like the paint job on your Judge is pretty sweet. But you've got some pricey stuff to save up for now that you're level 40!

@ThePheonix I should probably write it in the paint job about the 15% so people don't get confused. And yes in a future update we'll add more achievements, cars, an more neat things to buy like animations and sound effects. My company is very tiny so all these things take time...

I agree with the first comment, I think that there should be a friends list and a way to set up private races. I really don't like having to count down and rely on luck in order to race friends. Plus, I think that if there was a cup/tournament system would be cool, and a private cup/tournament system would be awesome. The last idea I had was that a ghost racer system would be cool, so people could test their mettle against the top ranking racers.

Also you should be able to choose who you want in your race like friends instead of abunch of computers and just get lucky with human players. Please respon to this comment as soon as possible.

@[FTW]TheCorndogger One of the best things you can put on Nitro Type that you should think about is having the ability to customize your car with pieces from other cars like the judge, the Minnie Cooper, and other Nitro Type cars. Maybe something else you guys should think about is customizing your own car with different car pieces.

@John_Spartan-117 We may add this some day, but it is extremely complex to build, and we are not some big company like most game companies.. One thing at a time! And sorry, you have to sell your car for only 70% of what you paid. You should be happy, because when you buy a car in real life you'll be sad when you see how little you can sell it for.
@RENEGADE Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it! For the time being the paint shop is going to be the slider mechanism, not a color picker. In the future we may change this. I know this limits your number of color choices, but it is what we're able to do for now.

Everybody should be happy to play this game so nobody should get over exadgeraded over one little bug! Just remember to be thankful for even playing on the computer or having your own computer because some kids and adults don't even have things they need or no home. @19ppeeling Ya sorry but I'm gonna have to agree with @Corsair4 here. The F-35 is very exclusive. Corsair4 worked hard for it, racing and achieving like crazy. If you want a jet, tank, rocket, etc, you have to work for it. I mean, the NASA rocket is so exclusive that nobody has even bought it yet, or even earned enough money to!

Once, when I was racing, I couldn't see any cars except a one that came before my car. I couldn't see my car or the ones that came after my car. I just want to ask if that's a bug.

Racer X and Corsair4 worked very hard for every thing they own on Nitro Type and they deserve it because they are the best players on Nitro Type.

@[FTW]TheCorndogger Although it occurs every so often, once it triggers, it repeats quite repeatedly and consecutively . Anyway, I could recognize my position among other racers by the screen on the top the page, on which my car is shown by a red rectangular shape and others with white rectangle.

it will sometimes just disqualify you right when you end the race and it will sometimes do it at the beginning of the race it acts like you didnt even start the race.

The only problem that I can see with the test site is that everything that I do on the test site does not transfer to the origional Nitrotype, and vice versa. Also, I haven't found an increase in payment as of yet.

No bugs for me, but a comment about the new track backgrounds - I don't see much point in it. It doesn't add anything to my racing experience because I'm always focused on the text and don't pay attention to anything on the track other than where my car is in relation to the others...

@∞Ω∞ The rewards work on both sites but you have to log out and back in. You can not be logged in to both and see it update on both in real time. And I'll look into that multiple achievement thing. Definitely never heard of that one before. That's on the test site?

you should be able to buy back cars earned achievements for a certain amount of (predetermined) money, or they should show up in the dealership for free, should the user ever sell them, by accident (sisters) or on purpose.
